BONANNO, Joseph John Sr
Died at 8:30 am Sunday at his residence. He was 77, a native of New Orleans and a resident of 2928 Eastland St. He was retired from the clothing and shoe business. Body at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, with visiting after 8 am Tuesday. Religious services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11 am Tuesday, conducted by the Rev Cage Gordon. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, the former Annie Cangelosi, Baton Rouse; two daughters, Mrs Merlin Pistorius, Monroe, and Mrs Robert Tannert, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two sons, Lt Col Ramon Bonnano, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.. and Dr Joseph J Bonanno Jr, Teaneck, NJ; and 12 grandchildren. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Legion and Knights of Columbus Council 3206, 4th Degree.

The copy was in Vol. 109 P.680 of the N.O. Birth index. This is the information on the certificate. Guiseppe Bonano lawful issue of Rosario Bonano and Josephine Disimone born 29 May 1895. My sister has a copy of his baptism certificate which was at St. Mary's Italian Church on 2 June 1895.
Guiseppe married my mother Annie Cangelosi (Francesco Cangelosi and Rosalia Ciaccio) on 27 Oct. 1926.
